With top institutions such as Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Allen Institute for Brain Science and the Institute for Systems Biology, the city has positioned itself as a major hub for talent in life sciences research alongside work by Life Science Washington to fuel local industry expansion and entrepreneurialism.
Seattle recently broke into the top 10 for established life science clusters according to CBRE, ranking ninth. From 2015 to 2020, the region’s talent pool increased by 24 percent, placing Seattle seventh for overall growth among top cities.
