The Seattle Inno and the Puget Sound Business Journal recently announced the 23 startups to watch in 2023. The list was compiled by account factors such as revenue growth, fundraising and mission.
On this year’s list is Cajal Neuroscience, a Seattle-based biotech company focused on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. After a $96M Series A funding round, the company plans to see substantial growth by the end of 2023.
Seattle-based biotech Monod Bio is also featured, following a $25M seed round last August. Monod Bio creates biosensors that give off light when they recognize targets such as biomarkers, toxins, and viruses.
