Microsoft’s AI for Good Lab has awarded $5 million over two years to 20 Washington-based organizations to help solve today’s toughest challenges through innovative, tech-driven solutions.
The AI for Good Lab is part of Microsoft’s philanthropic initiatives and partners with changemakers across the globe, providing computing power, AI experts and data scientists to help organizations’ subject matter experts in their work. This round of grantees includes the University of Washington’s Institute for Protein Design, Washington State University, Virufy, Providence, and the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, among others.
These investments underscore Washington’s leadership in AI and life sciences and its commitment to fostering homegrown innovation.
