PATH has launched Africa’s largest study of its kind, enrolling 9,000 participants to test whether AI can help primary care clinicians improve diagnoses and treatment decisions in resource-limited settings. The Seattle-based nonprofit is using large language models (LLM) at Nairobi clinics to analyze symptoms, histories, provider notes, and lab results to support care planning.
