‘Virtual Medicine Cabinet’ from Seattle Startups Will Put Health Tech Apps in One Place

A “virtual medicine cabinet” platform is being launched by Seattle health tech startups Wavely and Apertur to consolidate AI-powered diagnostic tools in one place.

Wavely developed an app that uses acoustic reflectometry to detect middle ear fluid, and Apertur is building a pupillometry tool for concussion and fatigue screening. The companies plan to integrate these products into a single platform for parents and caregivers, aiming to reduce unnecessary clinic visits for issues like ear infections and head bumps.

This initiative strengthens Seattle’s edge in digital health and AI diagnostics by creating a scalable infrastructure for integrated health tools.
