Washington State scientists Mary Brunkow of the Institute for Systems Biology and Fred Ramsdell of Sonoma Biotherapeutics have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their groundbreaking work on immune regulation. Their win marks three Nobel Prizes in two years for Washington’s life sciences community, following David Baker’s 2024 chemistry Nobel for protein design innovation.
