Seattle-based Swedish Health Services (Swedish) completed its 500th MitraClip procedure nearly one year ago, and the 10-year program is now one of the top five in the U.S.
Swedish’s MitraClip program is one of many innovative life science projects happening in Washington state’s Greater Seattle region. In fact, a recent report from CBRE ranked the city one of the top 10 life science clusters across America.
The continued growth and innovation of Seattle’s life sciences has strengthened the state’s economy. Life Science Washington found that the industry holds an economic impact of over $35 billion and currently employs over 44,000 people.
