The University of Washington (UW) infused $20.9B into the state’s economy last year, a 33% jump since 2018 when the school’s economic impact was last measured. The overall impact, according to a report by Parker Strategic Group, includes $10.3B in direct and $10.6B in indirect and induced spending. The UW system supported or sustained approximately 112,000 jobs statewide in 2023, which equated to one out of every 34 jobs in the state.
