GEN released its latest annual A-List ranking of the top 10 U.S. biopharma clusters, placing Seattle 10th overall. Highlighting the Greater Puget Sound region’s strong academic and nonprofit research institutions, recent Nobel recognition connected to the Institute for Systems Biology and the University of Washington, and continued momentum from life science companies across the region.
Additionally mentioning, Seattle and its suburbs placed highest at 8th in both NIH funding and VC. Our region was 9th in lab space and 10th in both jobs and patents.
