Life Science Washington’s latest Economic Impact Reports reveals a 23.5% rise in employment in the field from 2015-2019, reflecting tremendous growth in the region as a result of an IPO boom as well as many companies adding commercial and manufacturing jobs.
In particular, the report revealed that women make up 44% of Washington’s life science industry – one of the highest concentrations of women in a STEM-based industry.
