Life Sciences Roundup: A Reborn Institute, a Long-COVID Study, and Responses to the War on Ukraine

As current events unfold in Ukraine, Washington state’s prosperous life science ecosystem is coming together to show its support. Several Seattle-based companies including Seagen, Silverback Therapeutics, Sonoma Biotherapeutics, OncoResponse, Chinook Therapeutics, Alpine Immune Sciences, and Icosavax are taking a stand against Russia and have signed a letter of support for Ukraine. In signing the pledge, these companies will halt trades with Russia except for food and medicine, among other measures. In addition to the letter of support, Seagen is also matching employee donations toward humanitarian efforts.
