Genemod, a Seattle-based lab software startup, raised $4.5 million in a seed funding round. The company’s cloud-based platform helps life sciences companies and researchers manage their data and workflows.
The funding will help expand the startup’s workforce and reach more biotech companies. The software helps researchers by providing real-time updates and allows remote collaboration for users to track progress, visualize data, and see who has made changes.
“We believe that scientists must be empowered with tools to discover and develop medicines and ultimately get them to market faster than ever before,” said Jacob Lee, CEO and co-founder of Genemod. “That’s why we built Genemod — to transform the way biopharma companies operate.”
