Curtis joined Life Science Washington in November of 2022 as Public Affairs Manager after nearly a decade on staff in the Washington State Legislature. Along with the CEO, Curtis works to translate and execute LSW’s policy priorities and represents the life science industry to political leaders, influential organizations, and other thought leaders. He serves as policy liaison with state and federal associations as well as LSW partners throughout the state. He manages a comprehensive state advocacy program, and advocates on select federal and local policy issues. In addition to issues core to the success and growth of the life science industry, LSW’s priorities include public policy and budget investments related to state workforce, technology commercialization, and STEM education. He also manages LSW’s Political Action Committee.
Curtis has extensive experience in state government, strategic communication, and political campaigns. He is a lifelong Washingtonian raised in Spokane and a Seattleite since 2008.
