Phase Genomics lands $3.9M in grants to improve testing for chromosomal abnormalities

Seattle-based Phase Genomics announced that it received two National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants totaling $3.9 million over three years. The funding will go towards projects focused on chromosomal abnormalities that cause problems with fertility and reproduction, as well as with diseases like cancer. Phase Genomics’ approach allows for a rapid, less expensive analysis of chromosomes using machinery already available in many labs.
