Photon Biosciences, a Spokane Valley-based startup, is developing a new class of probe molecules that can be applied to various biological imaging and diagnostic applications. For example, the company is working to create in-home testing kits that can detect heart failure and blood platelet contamination more rapidly.
The company is also currently working to secure additional funding to scale the technology for commercial use and to go through the FDA approval process. The product is estimated to be about two years away from being available for widespread use.
