Seattle Startup Lumen Biosciences to Build Algae Manufacturing Plant in Former Bakery

Lumen Bioscience, a Seattle-based biotech company announced it will be expanding its operations and moving to Seattleā€™s Wallingford neighborhood to continue manufacturing proteins found in algae. These proteins can be used to help treat gastrointestinal tract-related conditions, such as C. diff.

This is just one of the many ways the company is continuing to grow following its $16M Series B funding round last September.
