Seattle Startup Lumen Biosciences to Build Algae Manufacturing Plant in Former Bakery

Lumen Bioscience, a Seattle-based biotech company announced it will be expanding its operations and moving to Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood to continue manufacturing proteins found in algae. These proteins can be used to help treat gastrointestinal tract-related conditions, such as C. diff.

This is just one of the many ways the company is continuing to grow following its $16M Series B funding round last September.
