Life Science Washington’s economic impact reports reveals a 23.5% rise in employment in the field from 2015-2019, reflecting tremendous growth in the region as a result of an IPO boom as well as many companies adding commercial and manufacturing jobs.
As the industry Washington life science industry continues growing, Dr. Leslie Alexandre, CEO of Life Science Washington urges leaders to invest in growing the workforce necessary to continue this accelerated growth.
“I think that we need to make sure that we’re keeping our eye on the ball, that we’re making the investments we need to in workforce,” said Dr. Alexandre.
