Last week Absci celebrated the opening of its new headquarters, complete with 77,400 square feet of office and lab space. Washington state Governor Jay Inslee was in attendance at the event where he referred to the biotech company as an “incredibly positive force in the Vancouver area.”

The biotech company’s new headquarters helps to fill a need for office space in Seattle and beyond as Seattle had only 2% vacancy rate for lab space in 2020.

“We designed the light-filled space around collaboration and the pursuit of scientific excellence,” said Sean McClain, CEO of Absci.
