Pattern Computer, a Seattle-based startup, is developing a rapid COVID-19 test based on patterns in light from spit.

In its seven years as a company, Pattern Computer has raised $26M for its solutions in the biotech, veterinary medicine, finance, mathematics and aerospace industries. With a current valuation of $1.2B, the company is now seeking to raise $40M to ramp up its new COVID-19 testing technology, which could have higher efficacy rates than the PCR tests used today.
