The Kirkland-based company, Cardiac Dimensions, announced a $35M Series D round with plans to grow its team and advance through U.S. clinical trials for a heart valve repair device, the Carillon Mitral Contour System.

The heart care company plans to use the funding to expand commercial business aspects and add seven to 10 employees to the team.

“We consistently look at different opportunities too that are either adjacent to what we do or would enhance what we do,” said Cardiac Dimensions CEO Rick Wypych. “If the right one came along, we would absolutely act, but again, our number one focus is making sure the Carillon Mitral Contour System is the number one product in the company.”
