UW Medicine has named Dr. Tim Dellit as its permanent CEO and dean of the UW School of Medicine, following a national search, the university announced Tuesday.
Dellit took over as interim CEO in July 2022, following Dr. Paul Ramsey’s retirement after 25 years at the helm. Dellit has spent more than 22 years with UW Medicine, serving as chief medical officer prior to his appointment as interim CEO.
“Tim has proven himself to be a leader in the most difficult of times, including during the COVID-19 pandemic and as UW Medicine addresses the challenges caused by the changing health care landscape,” University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce said in a news release. “He is an adept listener and communicator who is dedicated to serving all communities.”
