Benaroya Research Institute Awarded $16M Across 18 Grants in First Half of 2026 to Predict, Prevent, Reverse and Cure Immune System Diseases

Benaroya Research Institute announced 18 research grants, totaling over $16.2M, awarded in the first half of 2026. A $4.4M grant will support research into how commensal-specific T cell responses contribute to immune tolerance in health and disease. Another $4.4M grant will support the study of a Type 1 diabetes treatment and how to improve clinical outcomes. Both are sponsored by the NIH.
