In the newest U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities rankings, the University of Washington placed No. 12 globally and No. 3 among U.S. public universities, out of more than 2,250 institutions across 100+ countries. UW’s subject-area rankings highlight particular strength in life sciences, AI, and computer science.
UW broke into the global top 10 in six disciplines, led by Public, Environmental & Occupational Health at No. 4 and Molecular Biology & Genetics at No. 6.
