Frontiers in Pediatric Research Lecture with Dr. Lee Hood

3:00 pm - 5:30 pm PDT

Join Seattle Children’s Research Institute on January 18, 2024, from 3:00-5:30 PM for the Frontiers in Pediatric Research lecture series, featuring systems biology pioneer Dr. Lee Hood, CEO of Phenome Health and co-founder/professor at the Institute of Systems Biology.

Dr. Hood’s lecture, “Phenomic Data-Driven Health: Catalyzing a Paradigm Change from our Current Disease-Focused Healthcare to One Centered on Wellness and Prevention,” examines how the big data of individual phenomics provides deep insights into wellness, healthy aging, and the early detection and reversal of chronic diseases. Data-driven health can solve the major problems of contemporary U.S. healthcare: quality, aging population, soaring rates of chronic diseases, racial imbalance of data, and sharply escalating costs.

The lecture will be followed by a reception with Dr. Hood where light refreshments will be served and guests can sign up for a facility tour. Both lecture and reception will be held at Seattle Children’s Building Cure at 1920 Terry Ave, Seattle.
