Aaron Foster, PhD

Aaron Foster, PhD is the Chief Scientific Officer at Outpace Bio, a Seattle-based clinical-stage biotechnology company solving durable efficacy, safety, and scalability for cancer cell therapy. He has over three decades of drug development expertise and a record of leading research teams to advance engineered cell therapies from their initial discovery phase into clinical trials. At Outpace, Dr. Foster spearheaded the development of the organization’s ex vivo cell therapy pipeline incorporating cutting-edge protein design and gene engineering technologies that significantly improve the cells’ expansion, persistence and overall therapeutic efficacy. In addition, Dr. Foster is advancing the OUTDRIVE™ in vivo CAR-T platform. Prior to joining Outpace, Dr. Foster held research leadership roles at Sana Biotechnology and Bellicum Pharmaceuticals. He was also a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine, within the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy.
