Elliott Francis

As the Director, Diversity and Inclusion at BIO, Elliott provides leadership and drives change through the development and implementation of strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives in the biotechnology and life sciences industry, and within BIO.

Over his professional career, Elliott has consulted with business leaders to develop, implement, and execute diversity & inclusion strategies, aimed at achieving organizational success. At Booz Allen Hamilton, an international management consulting firm, Elliott led the development, implementation, and management of an enterprise-wide Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Partnering Program across 40 business units. In recent years, Elliott’s work has focused on ensuring the linkage between diversity & inclusion initiatives to federal strategic goals and objectives, at agencies including: the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Department of Treasury (IRS).

Dominique Hollins

Dominique Hollins is the Founder and Connector-in-Chief of WĒ360, LLC. a boutique Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consulting firm that develops customized strategies for organizations that are committed to doing the work. With over 15 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, entrepreneurs, community leaders and professional advocates, Dominique has become adept at community building for collective impact. Her expertise spans the technology and financial services industries including business operations, product and program development, brand engagement, data analysis, partnerships, community development, small business advocacy, tech entrepreneurship and DEI planning and development. 

Prior to starting her own business, Dominique led as eBay’s first Marketplace Diversity leader, integrating DEI practices into the merchandising organization to drive economic equality through e-commerce and small businesses. Before then, she managed payment operations for eBay’s NA Daily Deals platform, enabling high-velocity multimillion dollar merchandising contracts during pivotal retail cycles. She launched her career at Alphabet, formerly Google, as a Senior Marketing Strategist for the AdWords platform, expanding online display advertising for the travel and financial sectors. She dedicated her 20% innovation time to coach and support minority-owned tech startups through GV, formerly Google Ventures. Dominique is also the Co-Founder of Our Collective, a network of professionals dedicated to tech equity for Black and Latinx talent, supported by the Kapor Center.

Dominique has been featured at conferences and events such as Fortune's Most Powerful Next Gen Summit, the Grace Hopper Conference, AfroTech, Black Enterprise Tech Connext, eBay Open, Stanford University, Twilio, Tech Intersections, Microsoft, Shoptalk, Out in Tech and more. She studied Actuarial Science at Howard University prior to transferring to DePaul University where she completed her B.S. in Finance. In her personal time she enjoys movie critiquing, culinary exploration, wine tasting, traveling and writing.

Leslie Alexandre, DrPH

CEO & President at Life Science Washington

As President and CEO of Life Science Washington (LSW) and Executive Director of the LSW Institute, Dr. Alexandre leads the development and execution of strategies to strengthen Washington state’s life science industry and build ecosystem vibrancy. A 30-year veteran of the health care and life science industries, Dr. Alexandre received her Doctor of Public Health from UCLA. Her career includes leadership roles in companies ranging in size from startup to Fortune 500, prominent research institutions and non-profit organizations.

As President and CEO of the internationally renowned North Carolina Biotechnology Center from 2002-2007, Dr. Alexandre championed the development and execution of New Jobs Across North Carolina: A Strategic Plan for Growing the Economy Statewide through Biotechnology,” resulting in tens of millions of dollars of new State investment in biotechnology education, research, and company creation and thousands of new jobs. She previously served as Assistant Director of Industrial Relations for the National Cancer Institute, Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Oncormed, and in senior health policy positions for two U.S. senators.

Dr. Alexandre is the recipient of numerous business awards and other honors and has extensive experience serving on corporate, academic and non-profit boards. She currently serves as a non-voting member of the LSW Board and on the boards of the Andy Hill Cancer Research (CARE) Fund and the Technology Alliance. She also represents the life science sectors on the Career Connect Washington Industry Advisory Board.

Kelly Mumma, SPHR

Kelly Mumma is a dynamic HR leader who is passionate about the people who bring organizations to life.  She has extensive experience creating high performance work environments by fostering collaborative cultures. Her 15+ years of experience in all areas of Human Resources include recruiting, talent engagement, total rewards, performance management, employee wellness, training and development. Kelly, currently the Sr. Director of HR at Alpine Immune Sciences, holds a BS from Central Washington University and SPHR certification. She thrives on family, friends, health and wellness. 

Sarah Wille, SPHR, SHRM

Director, Human Resources at Impel NeuroPharma

Strategic and innovative HR professional who translates business vision into HR initiatives that improve performance, profitability, growth, and employee engagement.  With over 15 years experience supporting and leading various Human Resources functions, Sarah has implemented comprehensive systems that streamline HR activities and result in greater efficiency across the organization.  Beyond her systems implementation work, Sarah has spent periods of her career focused on compensation and benefits design and management, and leadership and organizational development.  Her ability to connect easily with others has led to the development and retention of strong company cultures in every organization she’s been fortunate to partner with.  Currently the Director of Human Resources at Impel NeuroPharma, Sarah holds a BS from University of Washington and SPHR + SHRM SCP certifications.
